The University of Stavanger has excellent connections to the start-up culture in Stavanger. My company, Nordic Web, had been noticed around campus and thus as a result, I was presented an opportunity to actively engage with the start-ups in the region.
Nordic Web was primarily hired to work for a branch called the "Student Task Force" - a collaboration between Valide and UiS' student incubator LevelUp. Our main offering was to create affordable websites for start-ups. The purpose of the work that I did was to help get people's businesses online. You know what they say: If your business is not on the first page on a Google search, it doesn't exist.
